Ποιος είναι καρτέλες η γάτα; Περίπου έξι χρόνια πριν φίλησα ένα αδέσποτο, τσίμπημα ψύλλων τσαμπί με μια κακή περίπτωση σκουληκιών. The makeup, though, I’ve got that covered, boo-boo, thanks to the MAC Antonio Lopez collection’s mix of eye, lip and cheek palettes.

The new collection struts into North American MAC stores, onto counters and on the internet September 12, and shows up at worldwide locales the exact same month (international babes, you may want to swing by your regional counter to ask your fave MAC artist for a firm date).

First thing I believed when I saw these palettes was, “Oh, hell yes!” The second thing was, “Who is Antonio Lopez?”

Antonio Lopez (February 11, 1943 — March 17, 1987) was a world-renowned fashion illustrator who’s work appeared in lots of top-tier glossies like Vogue, Harper’s exposition and Elle, in addition to the style pages of papers like The new York Φορές. In addition to his artwork, he’s understood for finding lots of popular models, too, including Grace Jones and Jerry Hall.

The new MAC Antonio Lopez collection features a few of his drawings, with each of the palettes embellished with one of his muses (MAC phone calls the women “Antonio’s Girls”).

An afternoon with Antonio

This afternoon I told Tabs that I could only work a half day because I had a prior interaction with three eyeshadow palettes and the two deal with palettes. He grumbled and bit my nose.

Then, I crossed my fingers, did a disco dance (the Hustle, IF you need to know), and really hoped to discover just as much beauty inside these palettes as out.

What did I find?

Well, the one eye combination I felt type of “eh” about at first, Teal, [turned out to be] much a lot more fascinating than I thought.

The very first time I saw its colors, they didn’t rather make sense to me, but after I started buffing and blending, the mix of bright blue and eco-friendly played well with the smokier olive, black, gray and light violet shades.

Now if I could only get rid of the fallout… say thanks to goodness, there’s only a little. If I were forced, cruelly, to choose just one of these three eye palettes to get down with, I’d choose Teal quicker than you could state “boogie-oogie-oogie.”

As for after effects problems with the other two eye palettes, Violet and Bronze, nope. Κανένας.

6 Eyes/Violet Palette
Violet’s pink and purple provide it a foxy ’80s vibe, and I believe that bottom row of gray, silver and black must satisfy my lust for smokey eyes (kind of reminds me of Prism by Hourglass). The cream shade in the upper right-hand corner, though? Not that inspiring, but I appreciate the contrast.

6 Eyes/Bronze Palette

Bronze is like the practical sibling who, if pressured to have another a kamakazi, ends up dancing on top of a table, LOL!

I was truly looking ahead to Bronze because you understand I lurves me my neutrals, especially the sassy pink and coral.

I the concept of those shades contrasting with the gold, brown, taupe and cream, and I almost shed a glittery tear as I realized that the nuances in a few of the colors are somewhat lost on my skin tone. next time I believe I’ll wet my clean head very first before applying to coax out a lot more intensity. If you’re a lighter lass than NC42, I don’t believe the pigment would be an issue. This one’s both quite and practical.

So, Face/Coral (officially, that’s its name) leans warm while Face/Pink leans cool, with Coral being the darker of the two.

I’m crushing on Face/Coral ’cause I like the method it looks with my post-vacation tan. The coral blush is brighter and a lot more intense (so it shows up easily on my skin) than its counterpart in the other palette, and the peachy gold highlighter feels RyGos smooth. The bronzer — it reminds me of my cherished NARS Laguna, but without the shimmer. You bettah rock this if you wear warm colors well.

Face/Pink
I like Face/Pink, too, although the bronze-ish highlighter feels a bit chunkier than I’d like. The pink blush is perhaps also a tad as well sheer for me, as is the bronzer, but I can absolutely see lighter lovelies twerkin’ this one. makeup and beauty blog RATING: B+

Two things before I fail to remember — I type of desire that 1) MAC had also included another choice for gals NC44 and up, considering that both Pink and Coral may not register well on darker skin tones; and 2) I had a unicorn to teleport me to McDonald’s ideal now, ’cause I’m hella hungry.

The new Laura Mercier Artist’s palette ($80)
First, before we get to Laura Mercier’s new Artist’s Eyeshadow palette (in case you’re wondering, though, yes, it does have African Violet), a quick and (hopefully) amusing story…

So I chose to get lunch at the mall this afternoon to take a break from all of the construction racket directly below my window (Oh, did I mention the new gas line trench being dug through my front yard? good times…) and, let’s be honest, try to get warm, so I zipped up the jacket I was already wearing (in the house), grabbed my keys and iphone and said “BRB!” to Tabs (who doesn’t seem to mind the cold at all). “Call me if you need anything, sir!”

The second I opened the door and stepped outside, I realized — holy sh*t! It’s warmer out here than it is inside.

A closer look at the palette…
At Nordstrom, one of the first things I spied was the new Artist’s Eyeshadow palette from Laura Mercier. part of a three-piece $80 kit, it also comes with a small Caviar Stick in Cocoa and a small full Blown volume Mascara.

As a side, I love the number of mattes in this palette. Laura stocked the entire top row with really helpful non-shimmery shades ideal for lining lash lines, contouring creases and smoking outer corners.

Compared to the version of this palette released last fall (Laura releases new versions of it every so often), this one seems a little much more flexible to me. It leans much more heavily on the basics with fewer flashy shimmery purples and pinks, much more browns and beiges, and a good seasoning of black, navy, taupe and, yes, purplish golden African Violet.

As for the packaging, well, it freaks me out a little. I get hives sometimes, and when I do, they kind of look like the bumpy pattern on the palette. Holding the case in my paw makes me feel all itchy and tingly, and not in a shirtless Ryan Gosling way. I really wish the outside had something smoother and less, I dunno, pebbled.

If you’re searching for a palette filled with easy-to-blend basics, I think this one’s worth a swatch-a-roo next time you find yourself near a Laura counter; however, if you already have a sizable makeup collection, there’s a good chance you have similar colors in your kit.

Meanwhile…a incredible frenzy of fried food!

I’d never gotten it there before, and dang if it wasn’t great! The fish was nicely breaded, not too oily, and the brioche it came with was just slightly grilled with a good crunch.

The sweet potato fries had a beautiful texture, too. Crunchy but not like taco shells. I think I still choose the frozen ones from Trader Joe’s, though, because they have much more flavor, and Trader Joe’s is just awesome, but I’d certainly eat them again.

Sadly, no cheesecake for me this time. I thought the full plate of fried food was decadent enough, and my muffin top was already stuffed.

Δεν φοράει ένα γλείψιμο o ‘μακιγιάζ, και μόνο κάποια ηλιοβασίλεμα ηλιοθεραπείας της ηλικίας ουδετίας
Ναι, η ματιά της τρίχας μου μια μικρή κατσαρόλα … έχει ένα μυαλό του δικού της, βλέπετε και τείνει να βγάλει έξω σε οποιονδήποτε κοντά το όταν βγαίνω πρώτα από το ντους.

Ξεκίνησα με την εκκίνηση του προσώπου μου με το Guerlain MeteRites Perles Base Eclat Les Ors (έχει μια λεπτή χρυσή λάμψη που πραγματικά μου αρέσει) και τα μάτια μου με Mac γρήγορη απόκριση κρέμα ματιών.

Στη συνέχεια, τα βασικά στοιχεία. Έφτασα το δέρμα μου με το πρόσωπο και το θεμέλιο του σώματος (αγάπη αυτό σε ζεστό καιρό, επειδή δεν θα φεύγει), καλύπτει τους σκοτεινούς κύκλους μου με Mac Prep + Prime Highlighter σε φωτεινή πρόβλεψη και YSL Touche Eclat, και γεμίζουν τα φρύδια μου Mac τέρατα Bride Pro Palette X 6 (Χρησιμοποιώ το στο Brun για να γεμίσω το εξωτερικό μέρος των φρυδιών μου) και σκιά ματιών Mac στο φελλό (για το εσωτερικό μέρος).

Μετά από αυτό ξεσκονίσα ένα μικρό Mac μεταλλοποιημένο skinfinish σε μεσαία μαύρισμα στη ζώνη T-Zone για να βγάλει τη λάμψη και έκανε λίγο περιγράψει στα μάγουλά μου με το νέο Becca Shadow & Light Bronze / Contour Perfector.

Το βρέφος Karen είχε κολλήσει ίσια μαλλιά πίσω την ημέρα …

Έχω φυσικά κυματιστά μαλλιά τώρα, ωστόσο δεν ήμουν πάντα. Up επάνω μέχρι τα tweens μου, το Coif μου ήταν μια κουρτίνα από ραβδί-ευθεία ανατολίτικα μαλλιά μαλλιά.

Χρόνια αργότερα στο γυμνάσιο, όταν οι σπειροειδείς perms ήταν όλη η οργή, οι καλύτεροι καλοί φίλοι μου, καθώς και η Cindy τους, καθώς και εγώ ήμουν ο μόνος από εμάς που δεν το έκανε.
