Η ILIA πολύ ορός απόχρωση δέρματος κοίταξε βαριά καθώς και γκριζωπό οικολογικό φιλικό στο δέρμα μου (το χρώμα που επιλέξαμε ήταν ο Morgat), ο κνήμος της Ηλείας φαινόταν απλά ένα παχύ άγγιγμα, καθώς και η μάσκαρα Caliray αρνήθηκε να κρατήσει ένα μπούκλα Lash .

Hmm … ίσως είμαι πικραίνω από όσο χρησιμοποίησα να είμαι. Το μόνο που καταλαβαίνω είναι ότι εξακολουθώ να ψάχνω για μια μάσκαρα, concealer καθώς και απόχρωση του δέρματος που τραγουδάει στην ψυχή μου.

A buddy of mine on Instagram pointed out that when she was a kid, her mommy would get lychees in season and freeze them for later, which I think is GENIUS. I think I’ll freeze a few, but our fire season is just around the corner, which indicates that our power company (PG&E) will probably shut off the power in our county for a few days (possibly weeks) as part of wildfire prevention efforts, and we might lose the food in our freezer and fridge…so I think I must eat as lots of fresh lychees as humanly possible ideal now while I can. ΧΑΧΑΧΑ.

I’m a huge fan of BB creams as well as light protection base makeup in general.  What are BB creams?  Since BB creams have ended up being much a lot more prevalent outside of Asia in recent years, I’ll let the authority supply an explanation: Wikipedia.  For ages, I used the Skin79 Super plus Beblish Balm Triple function SPF30 PA++ (also affectionately just called the hot Pink BB) however I always discovered it to be a bit as well ashy / grey on me.  I routinely mixed it with the now discontinued Kiehls Ultra Facial tinted moisturizer SPF 15 in Medium, which was as well dark on its own for me.  The blend worked well, however it wasn’t ideal.

Το υλικό αισθάνεται μεγάλη ενάντια στο δέρμα μου, καθώς και η αύξηση είναι μεγάλη επαρκή για να διατηρηθεί η αίσθηση του αίσθησης. Προσφέρονται σε πολλά ουδέτερα χρώματα. Έλαβα θεμελιώδη μαύρα καθώς και δύο αποχρώσεις του καφέ.

Πλευρική σημείωση: Είναι μόνο εγώ, ή θα «βασίλισσα καρδιές» να είναι μια διασκεδαστική συντονισμένη για μια πανκ μπάντα να καλύψει; Μπορώ να το ακούσω απολύτως.

So…what is the Monday Poll?

Εξαιρετική ερώτηση! It isn’t, as opposed to its name, an actual poll, like with little clicky buttons. It’s just a list of five much more or less random questions I’ve been posting on this blog every Monday morning for the past quadrillion years (since 2007). I love reading your answers, and it helps me get my week off to a good start. ?

1. Sunscreen — lotion or spray?

For my body, I like to do lotion first thing in the morning for my first layer, then touchups throughout the day using a spray.

As for my face, the routine is a little much more complicated (story of my makeup life, ha). When I’m not wearing makeup, I’ll typically start with a lotion, then do touchups with either a lotion or spray throughout the day…so when I’m not wearing makeup, it’s pretty straightforward; however, if I will be wearing makeup, then I’ll do two layers of lotion, starting with the first layer, then waiting 10 minutes, then applying the second, waiting a bit more, and then I’ll do my makeup.

4. how do you feel about brushed up eyebrows?

I used to love them. Τώρα? Not so much, at least on me. I used to feel like they looked Cara Delevingne-style voluminous, but lately I’ve felt like they’re outright aggressive. maybe it’s because I don’t have as much natural collagen plumping up my cheeks as I get much more and much more into my 40s? All I know is, the older I get, the much more flattering a softer, less structured and defined brow suits me.

5. name a type of charm product you’ve never tried.

Hmm… I’ve never used a tanning lotion. (Really don’t have a need to, LOL.)

6. If you had to microblade your own brows, how do you think you’d do?

Honestly, I don’t know. If I were numbed beyond belief, then maybe not so terribly? They’d be doable, I think…

Now, if, instead, I didn’t have anything to dull the pain? Girl, those brows would be a fright. I just know I’d get halfway through the first one before chickening out on the rest.

7. choose one brightly colored eyeliner to wear: neon green, cobalt blue, amethyst purple.

8. What do you want on your ice cream sundae?

A smattering of chopped roasted nuts and a maraschino cherry. I’d also like two small sides of chocolate sauce and caramel sauce! That way I can pick and choose from each.

9. favorite place to get books?

It used to be the library, but I haven’t been there because pre-Covid times. Lately, I’ve been getting books from an independent bookstore in town called Copperfield’s. It’s mellow inside, and they have a good selection for a bookstore so much smaller than a common Barnes & Noble. Of course, even if you can’t find the book you want, they’ll purchase it for you.

This month I seem to have finished up the core components of my face skincare products all at the same time – so odd how that happens.

The sense of accomplishment in finishing up products never gets old!

The Body Shop Vitamin E moisture Serum – $23 for 30ml (Body shop in store & online)
This lightweight serum includes glycerin, honey, and rice bran oil. I found it a bit watery and didn’t offer a long lasting hydration – my face felt less plump compared to other serums I’ve used. I reserved this for summer months during the day time due to this reason – this might be a good serum for oilier skin types. I do like that this package is in a vacuum pump but it’s visible through the bottle so you can see how much product is left.
Stash worthiness: 6/10     Repurchase: No

Physician’s formula Anti Aging Laser Resurfacing Serum with 2.4 AHA – $21.95 for 30ml (drugstores & online)
This is a gentle chemical exfoliant that uses lactic acid, and can be used nightly under night cream.  I apply this lightweight gel lotion to cleansed face underneath my regular nighttime moisturizer – it makes my skin soft and glowy.  There’s also vitamin C and peptides in the concoction – it has quite a distinct fragrance but it isn’t offensive (I can’t place the smell but my first thought was Play-Doh).  I purchased this on clearance at 50% off – I don’t think this product is being discontinued but I think my local Rexall was just making space for other products.  So I grabbed 2.  I started this bottle in February and used it about 3 times a week.

Shiseido Ibuki Refining moisturizer – $52 for 75ml (department stores & online)
I discussed this item in my Shiseido skincare post and out of love / like / Loath categories, it was noted in “Like” – this is a terrific lightweight daytime moisturizer that I especially like for the summer months. The main issue I take with this is the fragrance – Shiseido really needs to dial that down on many of their products.  I noted on the bottle that I cracked this open in April so it lasted me a solid 6 months, not bad really when I calculate out a per month cost of $8.67. I spend much more on food on a daily basis!

Lise Watier HydraSmart Gel-Crème Hydration 3D – $18 for 30ml (Shoppers drug Mart & online)
Another tube bites the dust! I like this pill-y gel cream less and less as I struggled to use this 2nd tube up… but guess what? I discovered another unopened tube in my stash!  I promise someone is playing a cruel joke on me.

Reversa Cleansing Micellar service – $23 for 300ml (drugstores & online)
I picked this up purely out of curiosity – it was on sale and a Canadian brand – and was so amazed with it! It’s bumped Bioderma off the 3rd spot for my preferred micellar waters (#1 Yves Rocher, #2 Claudalie, #3 Reversa). I use this after oil cleansing to remove all traces of makeup (especially from the neck and hairline area that might be much more challenging to rinse off), and it is effective yet gentle. It also leaves my skin SO soft. It includes lotus root water which is expected to be soothing.  I’ll be reusing this pump bottle for my other micellar waters.

Yves Rocher second Skin effect foundation in beige 200 – $25 for 30ml
This is an simple and easy lightweight foundation that blends perfectly onto my skin using just fingers. I love this foundation. and you know what that means, right? Yup, they discontinue it. Ugh. Last year I stocked up on a few backup bottles from the clearance table but only managed to snag one bottle in my appropriate shade – I got a couple in the next shade up for mixing. YR does have a new lightweight foundation to replace this – I have yet to try it (I received a sample) but the packaging is much bulkier (I love how compact and portable this bottle is!)… and I’m not so sure about that “luminous” business.

Neutrogena Ultra sheer dry Touch sunscreen SPF 110 – $16 for 88ml (drugstores & online)
This is a wonderful body sunscreen – I didn’t even know that they’re allowed to claim SPF that high! It applies nicely – not too greasy or too much of a white cast. This is strictly for body usage though, it’s much too heavy for the face. We took this on holiday with us (hence the battered looking bottle) and it worked amazingly during our hikes – no burns at all.

Shiseido sun protection Eye cream SPF 32 – $38 for 15ml (department stores & online)
I finally used up this tube – toward the end I cheated a little and applied this not only as an eye cream but all over my face. The 2nd tube shown isn’t empty but is being tossed away because it has expired because Oct 2014 so I don’t want to risk it. This is a good, non-greasy eye cream that contains SPF in the form of zinc oxide (9.3%)και οκτνοξικό (4,9%). Πρώτα προκλήσει να βρούμε καθόλου την κρέμα ματιών με το SPF και ακόμη πιο δύσκολο να βρούμε ένα με ορυκτό αντηλιακό (αν και δεν είναι ένα καθαρό ορυκτό όπως ο οκταξαξακείος είναι ένα χημικό αντηλιακό). Αυτό το ένα στρέφεται καλά κάτω από το μακιγιάζ, αλλά είμαι αναποφάσιστος εάν θα ξαναγράψω αυτό γιατί νομίζω ότι μπορώ απλώς να χρησιμοποιήσω το κανονικό αντηλιακό ορυκτό πρόσωπο μου κάτω από την περιοχή των ματιών μου προχωρώντας προς τα εμπρός.

Τόμος Covergirl Lashblast – $ 10 (φαρμακεία)
Όχι πολύ να πω για τη μάσκαρα HG μου. Θεωρώ ότι η HG άξια όταν οι άνθρωποι μου συγχαίρουν σε αυτό που αντιλαμβάνομαι να είμαι ένα από τα πιο αδύναμα χαρακτηριστικά μου! Είναι ογκώδες, η επιμήκυνση, δεν νιφηρά, δεν χτυπάει, δεν μουτζούρει, εύκολο να εφαρμοστεί και να αφαιρέσει, αλλά ανθεκτικό στο νερό. απλά μαγικό!

Lise Water Mascara Wow – $ 24 (Shoppers Drug Mart & Online)
Έλαβα αυτό το πλήρες μέγεθος μάσκαρα ως gwp έτσι δεν είμαι τόσο κακός που δεν λειτούργησε για μένα. Εφαρμόζεται όμορφα αλλά ο άνθρωπος, είναι τόσο smudgy! Βάζω ακόμη και ένα παλτό μάσκαρα πάνω σε αυτό και κάπως καταφέρνει να σπάσει μέσα από αυτό και να μου προκαλέσει τα μάτια ρακούν. Επίσης, το ραβδί είναι τόσο bendy, παρόμοιο με αυτό το L’Oreal Miss Masca Mascara – πάρα πολύ δισκέτα για να εφαρμοστεί πάνω στις βλεφαρίδες με να κάνει ένα χάος στα καπάκια μου.

Αγόρασε αυτό κατά τη διάρκεια των $ 3 για $ 15 πώληση. Δεν αγοράζω συνήθως τα πηκτώματα ντους από το BBW, αλλά δεν μπορούσα να αντισταθώ στην προτιμώμενη μυρωδιά μου το καλοκαίρι! Όταν το χρησιμοποιώ σε συνδυασμό με τη λοσιόν αλόης γέλης, στη συνέχεια, στη συνέχεια στρώμα στην ομίχλη του σώματος, η μυρωδιά διαρκεί τόσο πολύ – το αγαπώ!

Έκανα μια ανασκόπηση αυτού. Ενώ αυτό ήταν ένα καταπληκτικό ενυδατικό σαπούνι, είχε κάποια αρνητικά: το μέγεθος του μπαρ ήταν mammoth – ήταν πραγματικά δύσκολο να κρατήσει στα χέρια μου για να αφήσετε το Lasher επάνω (Δεν μπορώ να σας πω πώς πολλές φορές έριξα αυτό στο ντους! ) Επίσης, η καφέ βαφή που βάζουν σε αυτό το σαπούνι ήταν τόσο περιττό – άφησε καφέ χρώμα σαπουνιού στην επένδυση ντους κουρτίνα και κεραμίδια ντους (χτυπάω την βαθμολογία μου από την αρχική μου επανεξέταση για αυτό το λόγο). Clarins Multi-Active Night Recovery Cream Cream – $ 62 για 50ml (πολυκαταστήματα & online) – Ήμουν περίεργος για αυτή την κρέμα για αιώνες και ήταν ένα τέτοιο let-down! Είναι μια πορεία της κρέμας προσώπου μύλου με ένα παλιό άρωμα κυρίας – δεν θα πληρώσω ποτέ πλήρη τιμή γι ‘αυτό. Χαίρομαι που έπρεπε να δοκιμάσω ένα δείγμα πρώτα!

Shiseido επωφελής wrinkleresist24 Εξισορρόπηση μαλακτικό εμπλουτισμένο – $ 55 για 150ml (πολυκαταστήματα & online) – Αυτός είναι ο πιο γρήγορος γραφίτης που έχω χρησιμοποιήσει ποτέ. Και αυτό το GWP βρίσκεται σε ένα μπουκάλι γυαλί Legit! Δεν θα αγοράσω ποτέ το πλήρες μέγεθος αυτού – υπερτιμημένο και πολύ αρωματοποιημένο.

Και φυσικά, αυτός ο μήνας έμαθα μια ολόκληρη δέσμη μακιγιάζ μου! Εδώ είναι μια φωτογραφία ανταμοιβής που ο Pal μου πήρε το μακιγιάζ εκδήλωση εκ νέου:

Υπήρχε κόκκινο κρασί και σούσι, και μια αγαπημένη σε δέος πόσο μακιγιάζ ήταν παρών (όχι ο φίλος μου, ξέρει πάρα πολύ καλά).
